Setting Up Eventbrite Events Correctly

Learn how to input event details in Eventbrite so they display properly on the website.

This video explains how to enter event details correctly in Eventbrite to ensure they display as intended on our website. Even small mistakes in the setup can cause issues with filtering and how events appear on the front end, so it’s important to follow these steps carefully.

What You’ll Learn in This Video

  • How to fill in event details accurately
  • Why the first listed age group is the only one used for filtering
  • Where to place images for the best display
  • Common mistakes to avoid when adding or editing events

Key Guidelines

  1. Accurate Event Details: Always make sure your event name, description, date, and time are clear and accurate.
  2. Placing Images: Place any images at the end of the event description text. This ensures that the event listing looks consistent across devices and avoids layout issues.
  3. Age Group Filtering:
    – If your event applies to more than one age group, separate them with commas.
    – Only the first age group listed will be recognized for filtering
    on the website.
    – Example: Teens (12-17), Adults (18+) → This event will be filtered under Teens (12-17).
  4. Other Filters: Double-check that your Class Type and Location are selected correctly, as these determine how your event will be categorized on the site.

Example & Template

If you’re creating a Visual Arts class for teens in Art Room 1, make sure your event details look like this (don't forget the "..."):
