Join us in hosting LA Fire survivors for a special community healing and seed bomb making event on January 24th from 11:30 AM–1:30 PM in partnership with the Seed Bomb Project and sponsored by the Department of Angels. There will be music, food, arts & crafts, and opportunities to connect with others from wildfire-impacted communities across Los Angeles while participating in hands-on ecological recovery and mental health.
The Seed Bomb Project was founded by Rummy Goodyear, who was just 14 years old when he lost his home in the January 7, 2025 LA wildfires. Determined to turn grief into action, Rummy brought together friends and peers to create seed bombs—small balls made of native wildflower seeds, clay, and compost—designed to be shared and spread throughout fire-ravaged neighborhoods.
In 2025, the Seed Bomb Project has distributed more than 5,000 seed bombs to fire survivors from Pacific Palisades and Malibu to Altadena, helping heal the land and communities while inspiring hope through youth-led service and activism.
