Bookmaking Workshop: Create Your Own Handmade Book

Join us for a creative, hands-on bookmaking workshop designed for all ages! Families and individuals will explore different ways to create unique handmade books while expressing their creativity in a fun and welcoming environment.

Who is the program for:

The PCRC offers free creative arts programs for anyone impacted by the January 2025 Palisades wildfires.

What we'll be doing:

• Designing and creating handmade books using stencils, pop-up elements, cut-outs, and colorful mixed-media materials
• Exploring bookmaking techniques that encourage imagination and storytelling
• Building an interactive, one-of-a-kind book to take home
• Creating alongside family members, neighbors, and friends in a supportive, intergenerational setting

• Time: 10:30 AM – 12:30 PM
• Location: Palisades Community Renewal Center (PCRC), 3212 Nebraska Ave, Santa Monica
• Ages: All ages welcome

Please plan to give yourself about one hour to complete your book, and arrive no later than 11:30 AM to ensure you have enough time to fully participate.
